New Product On The Block: L’Oreal Paris COLOR RICHE LE NAIL ART Sticker

Posted on 11:10 by Unknown

Nail art has been a huge trend of 2012, and from the look of it getting even bigger and bolder in 2013. While most of us love and admire the beauty of nail art, the fact that it is such a tedious task puts most of us off from giving it a try. Plus, all the time and energy that goes into creating nail art is not really my cup of tea. In all honestly, as much as I love it, the closest I have come to getting any nail art done is by creating a Pinterest board of my fave nail art looks.

So, when I discovered L’Oreal Paris ‘Color Riche Le Nail Art Stickers’, it was like the fashion gods had answered my prayers. Now, thanks to these stunning nail art sticker even the laziest and shabbiest nail painter can get itself the salon like artistic nail art in under 30 minutes.

L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Nail Art Claim: “The 1st nail art stickers in both 2D and 3D effects by L’Oreal Paris. Give nail art a try with this collection of patches that adds fun patterns and shine to fingertips and toes. Each nail applies ultra easily and provides long wear- with zero drying time or smudging. 3 step application, instant couture results. Salon quality Nail Art has never been so easy.”

The nail art sticker collection has been inspired from luxury fabrics, that are “easy to use and can stay on for upto 10 days.” L'Oreal Paris offers three timeless collections that create ultimate nail wardrobe ranges:

Couture- Nail stickers that are inspired from the latest catwalk trends

L’Or- The timeless black and gold nail art stickers can add a vintage feel to your look

Diamantisse - Diamonds are a girl’s best friend! These stickers aren’t just stickers, they are nail diamonds!

As excited I was about the concept of 3D effect nail art stickers, for my first time using it, I opted for the elegant 010 Golden Lace 2D nail art sticker from the L’Or collection.
Review of L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Nail Art Sticker: 010 Golden Lace.

A packet of 18 stickers cost Rs.299/-  The stickers are available at all L'Oreal Paris counters and can be bought online at medplusbeauty.com

Keep in mind, while applying the sticker position the round end the base of the nail.

Verdict & Recommendation.

One of the things I loved about the nail art stickers is, their designs are very versatile. The design and effect of all the nail art stickers complements most skin tones and can easily be styled with both Western and Indian ensemble.

A few things to keep in mind while using the nail art stickers:

It is very users friendly, but while using it for the first time I recommend not to apply all the stickers at once, but instead apply one nail sticker, file out the excess sticker and then apply the next one. This may take up more time but it also makes filing easy.

Since the sticker takes the shape of the nail, before applying them make sure your nails are shaped as per your liking.
On every account the product is a dream, except the wear time. L'Oreal Paris claims the nail stickers last for upto 10 days, but mine lasted for 2-3 days only. My suggestion is to apply them just before heading out.

The next time you are in need of a manicure or in a mood to giving your nails a makeover, treat then with stylish L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Nail Art stickers. And in a couple of minutes transform your nails from plain to FashioNAILable!
If, like me, you are a fan and lover of nail art, then these stickers are a dream come true. A must try! Hands down L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Nail Art sticker is one of my favourite new product of 2013.

Till then, tra-la,

 Amena!!

Colours Of Pride: In Celebration Of India's Republic Day

Posted on 22:48 by Unknown

In celebration of Republic Day, the day India got its constitution, I have chosen to pair my love for beloved country; India, with my love for fashion by stylishly creating a Indian TriColour ensemble.

India's national flag also know as 'Tiranga' {three colours} is a horizontal rectangular tricolour flag, of India saffron {Kesari}, white; with the Ashok Chakra, a 24-spoke wheel, in navy blue at its centre and India green.

{MANGO Dress, ROMWE Blazer, ASOS Bag, VALENTINO Pumps, FAB ALLEY Necklace, STALKBUYLOVE Cuff, MICHAEL KORS Watch}

The Indian flag belongs to the secondary colour scheme, which consist of orange, violet and green. Orange being a warn colour contrasts as well as complements green that is belongs to the cool colour family. To balance out this warm and cool harmony is white and hints of navy blue.
The colours of the Indian flags are most often seen in Indian ensembles, especially sari and bridal wear. That does not mean one can not use these shades to create a western or an Indo-western fusion look.

If an head-to-toe tricolour look is not your style, then opt to include the tricolour shades in medium or small dose.

This republic day wear your tricolours with pride and style.

{MANGO Bag, ROMWE Shirt, FAB ALLEY Cuff, MICHAEL KORS Watch, CHICNOVA Pants, ASTLEY CLARKE Ring, LIMEROAD Earrings, INGLOT Eye Shadow, MATTHEW WILLIAMSON Sarong, LIMEROAD Bracelet, LANCOME Lipstick, AMRITA SINGH Bangle, ALDO Sandals, FOREVER NEW Top}

Here's wishing all my fellow Indians a very Happy Republic Day.

From A.M to P.M: Black {and Red} Dress.

Posted on 07:43 by Unknown

It has been long over due for me to start my new series, 'From A.M to P.M'. For some reason or the other I just was unable to start it. Anyhoo, the series has officially begun.
In the series not only will I show you how one garment can easily be styled for the day/A.M as well as for night/P.M, but I will also show you a few more easy-breezy styling variation to suite your style palette as well as create a variety of different look for the same garment.

For my first 'From A.M to P.M' look, I decided to opt for a classic that is also everyone's fave-the litte black dress.
I fell in instantly in love with this SheInside black knee length dress accented with a red border. While the overall look and structure of the dress is on classic lines, the red border adds an element of drama to the dress.

Dress, Necklace/Similar Here

A.M: Sunglasses/Similar Here, Blazer, Bag, Shoes/Similar Here, Bangles/Similar Here

P.M: Blazer/Similar Here, Bag, Shoes/Similar Here, Lipstick

The above collage shows how the same dress can be worn in two distinctly different ways for different time of the day. Here are a few more styling options:

1. The A.M look can easily be worn in in P.M. time zone and so can the P.M look be comfortably worn in the A.M. times period.

2. For those who are not too comfortable wearing the gold blazer of the P.M. look in the day time, opt for a beige or a biscuit brown blazer to create a toned down day look.

3. If statement necklace is not your thing, swap it with a printed scarf, or add vintage brooch to the dress.

4. If you are not too comfortable flaunting your legs, add a pair of coloured tights to current looks.

5. For a casual or weekend look, trade the blazer with a denim jacket or cardigan for the day time and a cropped leather jacket or metallic shrug for the night.

Note: I have a lot of friends and readers who voice their inability to wear/carry off  sleeveless clothes. I too am sleeveless shy. But that does not stop me from buying a sleeveless outfit. I simply thrown on a neutral colour shrug or jacket on top of my sleeveless outfit. My advice to all of you who till now have stayed away from sleeveless clothing, just pair your sleeveless dress/top/tunic with a blazer/shrug/jacket and you are good to go.

P.S: For those who do not know, both Romwe.com and SheInside.com offer free shipping worldwide. Also, Clinique Chubby Stick is now available in India and can be found at the Clinique stores.
What do you think of 'From A.M to P.M' series? And what would you like to see featured next? Share your views and suggestions with me in the comment section.

NIVEA Winter Care Must-Haves.

Posted on 06:21 by Unknown

Even though I am a December baby, I am a summer person at heart. While I may detest the cold weather I can’t help but enjoy some of the benefits it brings to me. You see, I am someone who suffers from all the side effects of oily skin and these 2 months of Bombay winter is the only time when my skin and hair actually behave themselves. I call them my 'frizz and zit-free' months. Therefore when it comes to choosing winter care products I tend to be very, very picky. Lucky for me, Nivea's winter care range offers the perfect solution for my type of skin.

Before I decided to write this review ever product mentioned has been tried by me. Other than me, my mother {dry skin} and my friend {combination skin} as well have tried out these products. This review is based on all of our experience.

Since we had a very mixed December some days cold the other hot as summer, this gave me a better understanding about the products and a realization that even though these products primarily belong to the Nivea winter care range, depending on your skin type they can easily be used round the year.

What better way to being 2013 that treat yourself to much needed protection and pampering with Nivea Winter Care Essential.

The first review is of Nivea body and lip care products.

Review of Nivea Smooth Milk Body Lotion

Nivea Smooth Milk Claims: "Enriched with Hydra IQ and Shea Butter, this creamy formulation repairs dryness layer by layer for 24 hour+ smoothness. Its fast absorbing formulation works deep within the skin repairing dryness layer by layer for long lasting softness & protection from dry skin"

Verdict &  Recommendation:
After using it for a month, there was visible improvement in my skin texture, it was more smooth and supple, especially my arms and legs.

Due to it non sticky nature, people with very dry skin can use this through out the year.

The ones with normal or combination skin can use this all through winter and on very dry areas like knees and elbows Nivea Smooth Milk can easily be applied through out the year.

For oily skin this is the perfect winter body lotion. Due to is non sticky after effect one can comfortably apply all over the body.

Skin compatibility has be dermatologically proven. Therefore according to an individual skin type and it’s suitability, Nivea Smooth Milk Body lotion can easily be used in winter, summer and monsoon.
Also available is 75ml {Rs 109/-} and 400 ml {Rs 296/-}.

Review Of  Nivea Fruity Shine Strawberry Lip Care

Nivea Fruity Shine Strawberry Claims: "The innovative formula of NIVEA Fruity Shine Strawberry with Fruit Extracts and Shimmering Pigments provides long lasting moisturisation and an exciting fruity flavour, giving you soft and smooth lips with delicate reddish shimmer."

Verdict &  Recommendation:
The beauty of Nivea Fruity Shine Strawberry is that it functions both as a gloss and balm. It provides the lips with colour and shine at the same time healing and protecting it.

Due to its dual purpose of care and colour it can easily be used during as well as after the winter season.

From those who wish to make their lips more healthy, supple, soft and smooth, I recommend Nivea Fruity Shine lip care. Not only will it protect, moisturize and improve the lip texture but also add a hint of color pop and shine to them.
The other flavours available in Nivea Fruity Color & Shine range are Pomegranate, Guava and Cherry.

Review Of Nivea Creme
Nivea Creme Claims: "Enriched with skin caring Eucerit, NIVEA Crème is an everyday, multi purpose crème which protects and gives relief from damaged skin, leaving it healthy."

Verdict &  Recommendation:

I have been using Nivea Creme since my childhood. In fact everyone in my house still uses it. The beauty about Nivea Creme is that it is both multi-function as well as can be  used by anybody; irrespective of age or gender. This is one of its best features. Add to that it comes in a compact jar that makes it very travel friendly and can easily be carried around.

I recommend this for all skin types. If you have dry or normal skin you can easily apply Nivea Creme year long, on both body as well as face.
I personally use this on my face only during the winters, especially on very cold days. If you have oily skin it is best to apply this on the face only during winters. Being fragrance-free it can easily be used by those who have sensitive skin.

Also available in 30 ml {Rs 39/-}, 60 ml {Rs 70/-} and 200 ml {Rs 190/-}

After using these amazing Nivea winter care goodies for a whole month I can confidently say that, Nivea Smooth Milk Body Lotion, Creme & Fruity Shine Lip Balm have officially become my must have winter body and lip care product.

Please Note: These recommendations are based solely on my personal experience. Before using any of these products please make sure they are compatible with your individual skin type.
